Completed in 2014 for Salam Bounian Development Company, The Gate Mall is a prominent retail and commercial complex located in Doha, Qatar. Designed by Consult Maunsell / AECOM and constructed by MAN Enterprise, the development features retail outlets, restaurants, and office spaces within a refined architectural envelope. The project reflects thorough planning and disciplined execution, establishing itself as a major destination in the city’s urban environment.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Exterior and Interior Cladding El Alfy Saraya executed both the exterior and interior cladding works using Travertine Navona for the façade and interior feature walls. The exterior application emphasized the mall’s structural geometry and offered a natural finish suited to Doha’s climate. The interior cladding supported a clear spatial rhythm and neutral palette, reinforcing the character of the public zones.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Interior Flooring and Staircases The company also delivered all interior flooring and staircase works. Statuario marble and Crema Marfil were used in high-traffic zones, corridors, and common areas, combining surface durability with a clean visual finish. Custom-cut marble staircases were fabricated and installed with careful alignment and integrated lighting elements, aligning with the mall’s contemporary design requirements while meeting practical performance standards.
