Hospitality

Renovated in 2014 under the ownership of Katara Hospitality, the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel combines its traditional architectural character with updated hospitality standards along Doha’s Corniche. Executed by Urbacon General Contracting with consultancy from ERGA Qatar, the renovation revitalized one of the city’s most recognized hospitality landmarks while preserving its iconic presence.
El Alfy Saraya was contracted to deliver interior and exterior stone works as part of the renovation program. The scope covered flooring, cladding, and bathrooms, with a focus on achieving material consistency and integrating new finishes into the existing architectural framework.
The company supplied and installed Rojo Alicante, Ming Green, Travertine Nochi, and Crema Marfil across guest areas, bathrooms, and public circulation spaces. Stone elements were fabricated and installed to match the hotel’s design intent, ensuring durability in high-traffic zones while supporting the property’s upgraded hospitality standards.
