Completed in September 2016, Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi is a full-service business and leisure hotel located in the city’s central Al Manhal district, near Al Wahda Mall and the Corniche. Developed with main contractor Al Habtoor Engineering and consultancy by Heberger Engineering Consulting Engineers, the hotel includes 315 rooms, meeting spaces, restaurants, fitness and spa facilities, and a rooftop swimming pool, delivering high operational standards within a city-center setting.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Interior Cladding, Bathrooms, Interior Flooring El Alfy Saraya delivered comprehensive interior stone finishes throughout the hotel, using Crema Marfil marble for wall cladding in corridors, lounges, and guest bathrooms selected for its warm tone and durability. In guest bathrooms, full-height stone cladding was paired with custom marble vanities, providing hygienic surfaces that meet hospitality design standards. Statuario marble was installed in the lobby and main public areas, offering a bright and durable finish suited to high-traffic environments.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Swimming Pool Finishes The company also executed stone finishes for the rooftop swimming pool area, applying polished beige marble tiles chosen for their surface characteristics, slip resistance, and compatibility with the outdoor setting. This ensured consistent material language across vertical and horizontal applications while supporting both functional and visual requirements for indoor-outdoor hospitality spaces.
