The Grand Marina Intercontinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi is a hospitality development commissioned by the National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCTH). Delivered by CATIC in collaboration with DEPA Interiors and under the consultancy of APG and EHAF Consulting Engineers, the project reflects the design and service standards associated with the Intercontinental brand.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Interior Cladding El Alfy Saraya executed wall cladding across public zones and guest corridors using Arabescato Marble and Emperador Light Marble. These materials were selected for their tonal variation and structural reliability, supporting long-term performance in areas with continuous foot traffic.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Interior Flooring and Bathrooms Interior flooring included Statuario Marble in the main lobby and lounges, paired with Crema Marfil in secondary areas to maintain a clear material flow. In bathrooms, a combination of Polished Limestone and Crema Marfil was applied to walls and floors, ensuring durability in moisture-prone areas while aligning with the broader material palette.
