Completed in 2020, Burjeel Medical City is a quaternary healthcare facility located in Mohammed bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi. Commissioned by VPS Healthcare LLC, designed by STH Society Technology House LLC, and executed by Teejan Contracting LLC, the 400‑bed complex includes specialized units such as oncology, pediatrics, transplants, and rehabilitation. The development reflects the client’s focus on advanced medical services delivered within a large-scale, efficiently planned hospital campus.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Exterior Flooring El Alfy Saraya installed high-performance natural stone flooring across critical exterior zones, including main drop‑off areas, courtyard pathways, and outdoor terraces. Granite and textured limestone were selected for their slip resistance, climate suitability, and durability under continuous foot traffic. These surfaces meet the facility’s standards for long-term outdoor use and operational safety.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Interior Cladding and Flooring Inside the facility, El Alfy Saraya completed a full scope of interior cladding and flooring works. Common areas, lobbies, and corridors were finished with Crema Marfil marble, providing a consistent material palette with warm tones and dependable performance. Stairwells and service areas featured polished Statuario marble, selected for its bright appearance and ease of maintenance. Clinical spaces, including outpatient corridors and waiting rooms, incorporated honed limestone with antimicrobial treatment to ensure hygienic conditions aligned with healthcare requirements.
