Completed in 2020, the Expo Village Development in Dubai was constructed as part of the infrastructure for Expo 2020. Developed for Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and built by Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast LLC and China Construction Engineering Corp. Middle East LLC, with KEO as consultant, the project comprises over 2,200 serviced residential units arranged across multiple clusters. It was designed for long-term residential use post-Expo, with materials and layouts suited to both hospitality and living standards.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Interior Cladding El Alfy Saraya executed interior wall cladding across communal lounges, corridors, and apartment foyers. Bianco Perlino Marble was used for its polished surface and ability to withstand frequent use in shared zones. In select serviced apartments, Grey Saint Laurent Marble was installed on feature walls to introduce tonal contrast and material depth aligned with the project’s modern design approach.
El Alfy Saraya’s Role – Interior Flooring The company also completed all interior flooring across the development. Sunny Belgian Limestone was applied in corridors and public spaces, valued for its matte texture and durability. In living rooms and suites, Volakas White Marble was used to support a bright interior palette and consistent surface quality. The selected materials ensure functional reliability and continuity throughout both communal and private areas.
