Sustainability Pavilion

Overview

A living model of sustainable architecture.

The Sustainability Pavilion was a centrepiece of Expo 2020 Dubai — a living model of sustainable architecture and innovation. Spanning 29,159 square metres, the structure generates 4 GWh of solar energy annually and produces 22,000 litres of water daily through advanced harvesting and recycling, and has since become a permanent educational and research centre.

El Alfy Saraya managed the complete natural-stone works programme: 6,500 m² of Crema Marfil flooring, Bianco Sivec cladding, Black Marquina bathroom finishes, and a 200 mm rubble-limestone biome wall — delivered on time with full-scale mock-ups and third-party testing, emphasising waste minimisation and LEED-compliant materials.
